If you can dream it, we can build it!
I am a son, a husband, a father, a grandfather, and an artist. My wife and our three children and seven grandchildren are the source of my strength and happiness. I’m also inspired by the beautiful world just outside my door—the trees, rivers, and fields where I live in stunning Wyoming County, NY, close to Letchworth State Park.
I love the feel, smell, and and look of real wood and began working with it at the age of 8, helping my father with a remodeling job. He had purchased an old farm house and used it as an opportunity to begin teaching the wood working trade to my brothers and me. I remodeled my first home with my wife, and several 25 years later, we and our three children designed and built a log home with raw materials from the Adirondack mountains.
After 15 years as a mill wright—taking a huge interest in forging metals—I went back to school and obtained a B.S. in education to begin a new career teaching welding and fabrication. Welding, itself, is an art, and I truly enjoy shaping and working with metals.
I have extensive experience with both wood and metal, and I’ve learned that their combination complements each other and is an organic medium for artistic creation. All of my pieces are handmade, and I create one at a time—taking the raw elements and giving them new life.
I am at home in the natural world and am so grateful for what I do. I would love to hear from you and am happy to chat if you want to learn more about ordering a handmade piece of functional art.
